COOL GUITAR GALLERY

Shown here is a collection of guitars that I think are really cool. Given the money, I'd own every last one of them. However, I don't have the money, so all I can do is dream for a while.

IBANEZ 7-STRING

An amazing guitar in all it's incarnations, although the body can be a little small on some of them (sadly, this is true of many of Ibanez's otherwise great guitars). Made famous by Munky and Head KoRn, Wes from Limp Bizkit and Dino from Fear Factory. Now, if only I had a spare two grand...

GIBSON GOTHIC ES-135

Never seen one in real life, but i stumbled upon this one on Gibson's web site. They have a whole series of "gothic" guitars, including the ever tasteless flying V, but i found the idea of a "gothic" Les-Paul shaped hollow body quite interesting. The gothic ES-335 has to have been a bad joke though...

IBANEZ ICJ100WZ

Also a cool, and very individual, guitar. The green and white stars design pictured here is great, though it looks even better in basic black. Made mildly famous by J of White Zombie.

FENDER JAZZMASTER

Not the best looking guitar in the world, but I do like the shape. Ridding it of the retro hardware would probably disgust all the guitar purists out there, but I think it'd make it one of the greatest guitars ever. As played by Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo of Sonic Youth.

GIBSON LES PAUL, DISCONTINUED LINE

Personally, I'm not a big fan of Les Pauls. Every second guitarist has one these days, though i'll admit that some of them have a beautiful action. This one is a little different though. Pictured is guitarist Adam Jones from TooL, playing a Les Paul with a metallic sunburst finish on it that was discontinued by the factory because it (apparently) produced a strange tone. This has (apparently) contributed to TooL's kick ass guitar sound, and has frustrated guitarists the world over by making it largely impossible to replicate.
